Pink Sausage Corn Dogs

Malta’s Favourite Sausages!

Ingredients:

  • 200g Yellow Cornmeal

  • 300g Plain Flour

  • 1/2tsp Salt

  • 1/2tsp Sugar

  • 1tsp Onion Powder

  • 4tsp Baking Powder

  • 2 Eggs

  • 400ml Milk

  • 460g (1pkt) Pink Sausages

  • Vegetable Oil for Deep Frying

Directions:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients except sausages, oil and 100g of flour for later use. You should obtain a thick batter. Place it in a tall mug.

  • 2. Pass sausage through a skewer and remove the outer skin.

  • 3. Coat sausages with a thin layer of flour and carefully dip in batter. Fry immediately in hot oil until golden and crispy.

  • 4. Serve with mustard or tomato ketchup.

  • 5. Enjoy!
